A vibrant Quarter Horse illustrating recovery from a puncture wound using RenoVō® regenerative therapy.

Case presentation – June 9, 2022: A three-year-old Quarter Horse filly backed into the catch for the stall door and punctured herself, creating a large, deep wound on her left thigh. The wound was sutured with internal and external stiches at clinic, however the injury persisted, and dehiscence of the suture occurred by July 17th. The owner expressed concerns to her veterinarian regarding scar tissue and the impact it could have on the horse’s future performance career.
