Case presentation – November 3, 2022: A 13 year-old Gelding Grade Horse presented to Topgun Veterinarian Service, Rock Hill, SC, with a mass in the right inner ear. The attending veterinarian, Audrey Turbeville, DVM, performed an excisional biopsy for pathology and debulked the mass. The pathology report interpretation was squamous cell carcinoma extending to the margins with no observed vascular invasion.
November 3, 2022: After the mass was debulked, a 1.5 cc RenoVō® allograft was implanted subcutaneously around the lesion at the discretion of the veterinarian.
December 14, 2022: Just over one Month following the RenoVō® implantation, the lesions had improved significantly with no evidence of the mass returning.
February 7, 2023: Three Months following the RenoVō® implantation, the right inner ear looked healthy and normal at examination with no sign of squamous cell carcinoma present.
